Riversleigh has livened up so much these days, with the House reopened and all. There are new faces, too – either returning ones that we newer folks haven’t properly met, or brand new people settling in. This seems like a perfect excuse for a party, doesn’t it?
So how about we all meet out in the gardens late this afternoon or tonight and even into tomorrow and have a lovely little get together. We can each bring a dish we like and a beverage of the sort we prefer. Bring a book you like, too, by an author you like, and any friends that happen to stop by or pets you live with (I promise the slime puppy is housebroken now – several cases of paper towels later). Oh – and one CD of music that you enjoy! We’ll play them all!
If someone will help me hang the paper lanterns and haul out some buckets of ice and glasses, we’ll get this party started!
By the way, I’m She Wolf, and I usually write short stories, particularly fantasy. I’m going to bring a nice, inexpensive merlot with me, and some sour cream pound cake that will melt in your mouth. My book is the one I’m reading, and I want to share it – a new one by Mercedes Lackey. I’ll bring a mix of ballads from the 70’s and 80’s for my music. Oh – and I will have the slime puppy with me. He’s really very sweet. His algae treats are over near the pool, if you want to feed him any.
So come on out, everyone, and let’s have fun!
